Over 600 people entered this competition, winning a chance to pitch their idea to our panel of judges at the event. Derek Rooney of Interactive Motivation won through the heats and the grand final to walk away with £5,000 cash and over £30,000 worth of support services and supplies.

Business Gateway Planning Kiosks

Visitors benefited from a free session with a Business Plan expert who provided a 30 minute assessment of their plans, using the very latest diagnostic tools.

Workshop Theatre

Covering a range of topics vital to small businesses, the workshops will be repeated in 2009, helping visitors gain the skills they need to run their business successfully.

Speed Networking Area

Another well-attended area, where visitors can pick up tips from successful guest entrepreneurs, to help them network more effectively. They then put these skills to the test in a speed networking session where they can make many valuable new contacts.
